In 1973, two men hijack Aero Bolívar flight 601, demanding the release of prisoners and a ransom. Two flight attendants, Edie and Barbara, try to calm the situation, but when the government refuses to negotiate, the hijackers kill a hostage. As the story unfolds, it is revealed that the hijackers are not guerrillas, but two desperate Paraguayan soccer players who risk everything in this failed plan.
